At the heart of the grassland, the interpretation area features a contemplation space built on a manmade mound. Prior to overlaying paths and planting tubestock, the mound underwent solarisation and seeding. The main path guides visitors to a viewing platform where an informative sign details the project. Here, the expansive view transports visitors to a time when grasslands dominated the landscape, offering vistas of native grasslands stretching northward to the horizon, and panoramic views of the foothills and coastline to the southwest. To the southeast, the park unfolds with its picturesque lake and historic munition huts in view. A stepping stone path leads visitors into a small woodland area, providing an opportunity to observe birds from the edge of the grassland.
